The 2013 Major League Baseball World Series is now even, at one game apiece, after the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Boston Red Sox, 4-2, on Thursday evening at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts.
Shane Victorino belted a grand slam home run in the bottom half of the seventh inning, to help lift the Boston Red Sox to a 5-2 win over the Detroit Tigers, on Saturday night at Fenway Park, sending the home team to their third World Series appearance in the last ten years.
The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers, 9-0, in game six of the National League Championship Series on Friday night, at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri, to advance to the World Series.
