When Chad Ochocinco signed with the New England Patriots this week, one of the side stories was the situation concerning his traditional number 85.

Aaron Hernandez already had that number with the Pats.  It was expected that Ochocinco might make a financial offer to Hernandez to get the number.

As it turned out, it wasn't necessary.  Hernandez offered the number to the former Bengal wideout and asked for nothing in return.  Turns out Hernandez wanted to go back to his college number, 81 and willingly forfeited number 85.

That'll save Ochocinco from having to undergo another name change.
