MLB Playoff Schedule: When/Where To Watch

The 2016 Major League Baseball playoff schedule is set, with the postseason fun starting on Tuesday.

The wild-card round, which is a one game, winner moves on and loser is eliminated format, will take place on Tuesday, with the American League round, as the Toronto Blue Jays play host to the Baltimore Orioles.

The National League wild-card game will take place on Wednesday, when the San Francisco Giants travel to face the New York Mets.

The American League Divisional Series, which is a best-of-5 game format, begins on Thursday, October 6, with the Cleveland Indians hosting the Boston Red Sox, and the Texas Rangers hosting the winner of the wild-card game.

The National League Divisional Series, also a best-of-5 game format, begins on Friday, October 7, with Washington National hosting the Los Angeles Dodgers, while the Chicago Cubs will host the winner of the wild-card game.

The American League Championship Series, which features a best-of-7 game format, will begin on Friday, October 14, with the National League Championship Series scheduled to get underway on Saturday, October 15.

The 2016 World Series, which also features a best-of-7 game format, is slated to get underway on Tuesday, October 25, at the home of the American League champion.
