Matt Leinart and Eric Crouch, two former Heisman Trophy winning quarterbacks, headline a list of 200 former players and coaches released by the National Football Foundation under consideration for the 2016 class of the College Football Hall of Fame.

Crouch, from Nebraska, won the award in 2001, while Leinart, who played at USC, won it in 2004.

Other notables on the list include Morten Andersen, Derrick Brooks, Jerome Brown, Tim Couch, Tom Cousineau, Randall Cunningham, Eric Dickerson, Raghib Ismail, Ray Lewis, Rod Woodson, and former LSU quarterback Bert Jones.

To be eligible for consideration, players must be a First Team All-American, be an upstanding citizen and complete his playing career between 10-50 years ago, while  coaches must win at least 60 percent of their games and coach at least 100 games.

From the list of 200, the National Football Foundation membership and its Honors Court will induct around 15 former players, along with a couple of coaches.

The 2016 class will be announced during January’s College Football Playoff extravaganza in Scottsdale, Ariz., and inducted at the NFF’s annual dinner in New York on Dec. 6, 2016.
