The 8th-ranked LSU Tigers take on the 14th-ranked Clemson Tigers on Monday night, in the 2012 Chick-fil-A Bowl, at the Georgia Dome, in Atlanta Georgia.

Both teams are 10-2 on the year, with the two LSU losses coming against Florida and Alabama, while Clemson fell to Florida St. and South Carolina.

LSU is led by junior quarterback Zach Mettenberger, who has thrown for 2,489 yards and 11 touchdowns this year, while Clemson is paced by junior quarterback Tajh Boyd, who threw for 3,550 yards, and 34 scores.

Offensively, Clemson ranks ninth, nationally, averaging 518.3 yards-per-game, while LSU ranks 79th, averaging 387.2 yards a contest.

Defensively, LSU ranks 8th, allowing only 296.2 yards-per-game, while Clemson ranks 7th, giving up an average of 411 yards a contest.

LSU is making its school-record 13th straight bowl appearance, and will be appearing in their eighth straight bowl game under head coach Les Miles, who is 5-2 in bowl games at the school.

LSU is 5-0 in the Chick-fil-A Bowl, and are 22-20-1, all-time, in bowl games.

Kick-off time is slated for 6:30 pm.
