The SEC baseball game between the tenth-ranked LSU Tigers and the 19th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide scheduled for Friday night at Alex Box Stadium was postponed due to rain in the Baton Rouge area..

The teams will now play a split-doubleheader on Saturday, with the first game at noon, and the second game at 7 pm.

The conference series will mark the ninth of the season for LSU, who trails Ole Miss by  one-and-one-half games in the SEC West with two weekends remaining.

The Tigers, who dropped two of three games to Texas A&M in a three-game SEC series last week, will come in at 35-13-1, overall, and 13-10-1 in SEC play.

Alabama, who defeated Jacksonville St., 6-1, in non-conference action on Tuesday night, is currently 31-18, overall, and 13-11 in league play.

The Crimson Tide is currently in fourth place in the SEC West, two games behind first-place Ole Miss.

The final game of the series is slated for Sunday at 1 o'clock.
