The LSU Tiger baseball team opens-up NCAA Regional play on Friday night, taking on the ULM Warhawks, in the first day of play in the Baton Rouge, La. Regional, at Alex Box Stadium.

The Tigers, who are the top-seed in the regional, won the SEC regular season title, while the Warhawks, the fourth-seed, had to qualify by winning the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.

LSU has the highest all-time NCAA Tournament winning percentage (123-47, .724), and are appearing in the NCAA Tournament for the 25th time.

LSU leads the all-time series against ULM, 38-8.

ULM is 31-28 on the year, while LSU stands at 43-16.

The Warhawks are expected to throw junior left-hander Randy Zeigler (5-6, 3.65 era.), while the Tigers are expected to counter with freshman right-hander Aaron Nola (6-4, 3.93 era.).
