LSU Baseball Falls To Arkansas, 10-4
The 8th-ranked LSU Tigers fell in the final game of a three-game, weekend, SEC series on Sunday at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, dropping a 10-4 decision to the 24th-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks
The loss puts an end to LSU’s seven-game win streak, and kept the Tigers one-half game in back of Alabama in the SEC West.
Arkansas had four-run innings in the first and fifth to help them salvage the final game of the series, after LSU won the first two.
Chris Oliver (4-3) earned the win for the Razorbacks, allowing four runs on four hits in seven innings with seven walks and one strikeout, while Kyle Bouman (3-2) was charged the loss for the Tigers.
With the victory, Arkansas improved to 22-15, overall, and 7-8 in SEC play, while LSU fell 27-9-1, overall, and 8-6-1 in SEC play.
The Tigers return to action Tuesday night for the annual Wally Pontiff Jr. Foundation Baseball Classic against Southern Miss at Zephyr Field in Metairie, La.
