The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will try to continue their hot play this weekend as they face Appalachian State for the first time in school history.

Game times from Boone, NC are scheduled for 5 pm Friday and 1pm Saturday.  Sunday's game has been moved to an 11am start because of a change in the Cajuns' travel plans.  Friday's game will be heard on espn1420, with Saturday and Sunday's games on 96.5 KPEL-FM.

Once again this weekend, the Cajuns will feature an all-freshman starting rotation as LHP Gunner Leger (5-2, 3.23) takes the mound for the Cajuns Friday night.  RHP Evan Guillory (3-0, 4.03) goes for the Cajuns on Saturday, while RHP Wyatt Marks (5-0, 2.88) takes the hill on Sunday.

The Cajuns will face perhaps the biggest hard luck pitcher in the league as RHP Taylor Thurber (3-8, 2.52) will start for App State.  RHP Travis Holden (0-3, 5.40) gets the Saturday start, while LHP  Jeremy Springs (3-1, 4.19) gets the ball on Sunday.

The Cajuns (29-15, 13-7 Sun Belt) come into the series riding a seven game winning streak after defeating UNO 6-3 Wednesday night.  It's the longest streak of the season for the Cajuns, who had two previous six game streaks.

Appalachian State, playing in its first season in the Sun Belt, is 13-33 on the season and in last place in the league with a 5-18 record.

App State comes into the series with a .260 team batting average with senior Michael Pierson (.337-7-36) leading the way.  Dillon Dobson (.309-10-30) leads the club in home runs at hitter friendly Smith Stadium.

Close games haven't been kind to the Mountaineers as they sport a 4-15 record in games decided by two runs or less.  They are 3-29 when scoring five or fewer runs.
