Lee Evans was so very close to being a hero for the Baltimore Ravens in their 23-20 loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC championship game on Sunday.

Place-kicker Billy Cundiff had an opportunity to let a Raven be a heron in the overtime period.

Evans had what could have been the game-winning touchdown in his hands with 22 seconds left, that would have given the Ravens a 26-23 lead, whith the extra point still to come.

It was not to be however, as Patriots defensive back Sterling Moore knocked the ball out of Evans' hands with a great play.

Two plays later, Cundiff missed a 31-yard field goal attempts, and the Patriot advanced to the Super Bowl.
