There’s fast and then there’s record-setting fast.

The Koenigsegg One:1 just shattered a world record by going from zero to 186 miles per hour and back to zero in 17.95 seconds. Go ahead and read that sentence again. In the time it takes to finish it, that’s how long it takes the car to do its magic.

The speedster goes from zero to 186 miles per hour in 11.92 seconds and then back to zero in 6.03 seconds for the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it time of 17.95 seconds.

The momentous accomplishment took place earlier this month in Angelholm, Sweden. Robert Serwanski is the lucky guy who was behind the wheel for his ride into history.

Koenigsegg had owned the old record, which it set in 2011 in the Agera R going from zero to 300 and back again in what now seems like an eternal 21.19 seconds.

If you'd like to buy the Koenigsegg One:1, we recommend making sure there's room in your garage and you hit up a bank. It costs $2.5 million.

The Koenigsegg One:1 can also blast to speeds even faster than what it showed. Check it out hitting 225 miles per hour, below:
