The Kiwanis Football Jamboree has been providing great high school football action for the past 62 years in Lafayette Parish. The field of teams has grown over the years, but Year Number 63 will exceed all previous years.

22 select and public school teams will be participating this fall, up from 12 teams in previous years. Teurlings Catholic, Clark Field and Carencro High School will serve as the three sites that will host the 11 games from Thursday, August 28 to Friday, August 29, with the action beginning at 6:00 p.m. each night and at each location.

Teurlings will host games on both Thursday and Friday nights. On Thursday night, Opelousas Catholic and Vermilion Catholic will kick things off by challenging each other, followed by St. Thomas More vs. Notre Dame and Lafayette Christian Academy vs. Westminster. On Friday night, Ascension will take on Hanson, followed by Teurlings vs. Catholic High – New Iberia and Sacred Heart vs. Central Catholic.

Clark Field will host two games on Thursday night. Breaux Bridge will take on Livonia in the first game, followed by Lafayette vs. Jennings. Then on Friday night, Carencro High will host the final three matchups featuring St. Martinville vs. Acadiana, Carencro vs. Cecilia and Comeaux vs. Northside.

Also, the Kiwanis Club of Opelousas has teamed up with the Kiwanis Club of Lafayette to plan this year’s event. All of the proceeds from the Jamboree will go toward Kiwanis Service Projects, which will benefit the children of the Acadiana area.
