A federal magistrate in New Orleans has ruled NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell must provide the court with documentation related to the alleged Saints bounty program.

However, judge Daniel Knowles said the NFL must turn the documents over to the court, and not to Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma.  Vilma had made the request as part of the discovery process in the defamation suit filed against Goodell.

Vilma is trying to have his season-long suspension overturned.  He said he expects to play this weekend against Tampa Bay.  He is eliglble to play this weekend because he is appealing the latest suspension.
