Disgraced former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is on the precipice of holding the same position with the Tennessee Titans.

Williams has yet to be reinstated by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, but that move could come as early as this week.

Williams was on the staff of the Tennessee Titans from 1993-2000.

Williams was suspended for the 2012 NFL season after Goodell determined he was the instigator in the alleged New Orleans Saints bounty program.  Williams was hired by the St. Louis Rams to be their defensive coordinator, but was suspended prior to the season.  He was not retained by the Rams after the season, although St. Louis coach Jeff Fisher has recommended Williams for the job at Tennessee, according to reports.
