The defending American League Champions are off to a great start, but the Texas Rangers suffered a huge blow yesterday when Josh Hamilton broke his arm while diving into home plate in the first inning of the Rangers' game against the Detroit Tigers.

The reigning American League MVP tried to tag up on a foul popup, seeing that home plate was uncovered.  But Victor Martinez was able to get back enough to run down Hamilton as he dove for home plate.
