The Houston Texans will be the featured franchise on HBO's popular documentary series "Hard Knocks" according to multiple reports.

"Hard Knocks" follows the subject team throughout training camp in the preseason, drawing on the real life drama of player cuts, injuries, and the NFL life of preparing for the regular season.

The New Orleans Saints should factor into an episode of the show, as the Saints will host the Texans in two joint practices in late August, prior to their preseason game on August 30th.

Last year, the Atlanta Falcons were the subject team of "Hard Knocks", and held several joint practices against the Texans, which gave Houston good TV time, including some great sound bites from Texans All-Pro defensive end J.J. Watt.

UPDATE (May 28th, 12:09 pm CT): The Saints won't factor into the show much at all as head coach Sean Payton announced today that New Orleans won't hold joint practices with the Texans, but instead will hold joint practices with the New England Patriots.

Between Watt (pictured below) and eccentric running back Arian Foster, the Texans are a great selection for HBO's Emmy award winning series.
