Former Golden State Warrior Marco Belinelli led the New Orleans Hornets in scoring with 23, including the final 2 which came off a goal tending call. Those 2 points helped the Hornets defeat the Warriors last night in Oakland by the score of 83-81. It was a strange ending to a strange game.

Golden State set-off confetti after the loss, their fans celebrating the defeat as the loss improves their position in the NBA draft lottery.

Belinelli scored 14 of his 23 in the first half, setting the tone of New Orleans early. Some Hornets fans will bicker about the win, worried it could cost them a chance at a top 3 pick in draft. Marco doesn't share that sentiment.

"I think it's important to win," Belinelli explained in postgame. "I don't care if it's one or two more games in the season, lottery pick, I don't care. I just want to get a win. That's the mentality we need to have."

The Hornets will close out their season on the road Thursday night against the Rockets. Tip-off in Houston is set for 7:00.
