University of Connecticut women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma earned his 900th career win on Tuesday night, as second-ranked UConn crushed Cincinnati, 96-36.

The 60-year old Auriemma, a member of both the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, becomes the eighth head coach in women’s college basketball history to reach the 900-win mark and only the third coach to accomplish the feat at one school.

Not only that, but Auriemma needed the fewest amount of games to reach 900 wins of any coach in NCAA history.

The win improved Auriemma's all-time record to a staggering 900-134 since being named UConn's head coach prior to the 1985-1986 season.

Under Auriemma's guidance, UConn has won nine national championships and made 15 Final Four apperances

Pat Summit, the former head coach at Tennessee has the record for most career wins, with 1,098.
