Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns open a crucial part of their schedule tonight when they play host to the Denver Pioneers at the Cajundome.  Tipoff is scheduled for 7:05pm.

The Cajuns (12-11, 6-3 Sun Belt) are tied with Denver and North Texas for the #2 spot in the Sun Belt Western Division, one game behind Arkansas-Little Rock.

The Cajuns have a chance to draw at least even in the West by next weekend, as they host UALR next week.

Denver (16-6, 6-3) has their best record ever as a Division I school through 22 games.  The Pioneers fell out of a first place tie Saturday night when they were beaten by UALR for the second time this season.

The Cajuns lead the all-time series 18-8 and hold a commanding 11-1 margin at the Cajundome.  Denver's only win was in the 2004-05 season.  Denver defeated the Cajuns twice in the regular season before Louisiana got revenge by beating the Pioneers in the finals of the conference tournament.

The Cajuns 6-3 record is their best in league play after nine games since the 2004-05 season.  The Cajuns finished 11-5 in league play last year.

The game will be heard on the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns radio network (ESPN1420, KHXT 107.9 and 1240 KANE) beginning at 6:35 pm.

Elsewhere in the Sun Belt tonight, league-leading Middle Tennessee is at North Texas,  FAU is at South Alabama, FIU travels to Troy and ULM is at Arkansas State.
