Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team goes for its third straight win today when they take on the Lady Raiders of Middle Tennessee.

Gametime is 2pm at historic Earl K. Long Gym.  The game will be broadcast here on ESPN1420 with pregame at 1:45.

Coach Errol Rogers' team (9-7, 2-1 Sun Belt) have won their last two games, the latest coming Thursday night when they defeated Troy 73-63.  In that game, Mercedes Johnson became the 14th player in UL history to reach the 1,000 point mark in a career.  She also set an EKL record with 36 points.  Johnson leads the Cajuns in scoring (14.6) and rebounding (6.3).  Jasmine Barnes (10.1, 55.6 FG%) is the other Cajuns' other double digit scorer.

They'll have their hands full with the Lady Raiders, who have been the dominant team in the 'Belt for several seasons.  Coach Rick Insall's squad (11-4, 2-0) have won all 15 meetings between the two teams, winning convincingly, 83-54 last season.  Insall is 136-43 in his sixth season.  The Raiders have won five of their last six games and are led by Freshman Ebony Rowe, who averages 17.5 ppg and already has seven double-doubles on the year.  This is a young Raiders squad, with eleven freshmen and sophomores on the roster.
