Seattle Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez has always dreamed of throwing a perfect game. On Wednesday, his dream became reality. Hernandez threw the 23rd perfect game in MLB history in a 1-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.

"I don't have any words to explain this,"said Fernandez shortly after throwing perfection. "When Phil Hughes almost had his perfect game here I said I have to have one."

It took "King" Felix threw 113 pitches for 77 strikes, including 12 strikeouts, to achieve perfection.

While his gem marks the 23rd perfect game in MLB history, it's the 3rd perfect game this year. White Sox pitcher Philip Humber and Giants ace Matt Cain etched their names in the perfect game record books already this season.
