New Orleans Saints All-Pro quarterback Drew Brees and All-Pro tight end Jimmy Graham have connected for many touchdowns over the last 4 seasons, including an NFL-high 16 last season.

Both players rank among the top 10 offensive players in the NFL according to a panel of ESPN's NFL pundits.

What I find refreshing about the poll is that it's not just quarterback top heavy. In any "best of" discussion regarding the NFL, quarterbacks tend to lead the list. However,  rankings were determined by voting for a rank of each player on a scale of 0-to-10 (10 being the best), regardless of what the position is.

This would also explain why Jimmy Graham is ranked one spot ahead of Brees. Graham comes in ranked 5th, while Brees is 6th. No Saints fan (or any sports fan for that matter) would argue that Graham is more important to the Saints than Brees is. By nature of the position, quarterback is the most important one in the NFL. However, Graham earned a few more "10" ratings than Brees, edging off his New Orleans counterpart by a few points.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson ranks first on the list, followed by Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers at two, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Mannings at three, and Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson at four.
