All four teams remaining in the 2013 Major League Baseball playoffs were in action on Wednesday.

In the National League Championship Series, the Los Angeles defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, 6-4, to trim the Cardinals lead in that best-of-seven game series, 3-2.

The series now moves back to St. Louis for game six, on Friday, as well as game seven, if necessary.

Meanwhile the Detroit Tigers evened up the American League Championship Series, 2-2, after downing the Boston Red Sox, 7-3, on Wednesday night.

Game five will be Thursday night, in Detroit, at 7 pm (cdt).
