The NFL lockout is now at 98 days.

But today, owners met to discuss the details of the proposal being worked on by representatives of the owners and players and the two sides appear to be moving close to an agreement.

Under the old proposal, players were getting 60 percent of the revenue after owners took the first billion dollars off the top.

Under the new proposal, players would be getting 48 percent without the billion taken off the top.

There are other details being worked out such as a rookie salary scale.

An 18-game NFL season would be considered negotiable.

And, there will be Thursday night football every week beginning in 2012, according to the espn.com story.

Negotiations between the two sides are expected to continue tomorrow and Thursday.  An agreement could take another 1-3 weeks.
