Louisiana second baseman Jace Conrad, the Sun Belt Player of the Year and Carson Baranik, the league's Pitcher of the Year, have been named to the Louisville Slugger All-America team.

Conrad was named as a first team selection, while Baranik was named to the third team.

Conrad, a junior from Lafayette has been the Cajuns' catalyst all season, leading the Cajuns in hits (84), doubles (19) and stolen bases (21)  is second on the team in batting (.367) RBI (55), runs scored (57), slugging (.568) and on-base percentage (.444).  In addition, Conrad has made only three errors all season and just eleven in his career.

Baranik led the Sun Belt with a 10-1 record. allowing 81 hits in 92.2 innings.  He walked just 22 with 69 strikeouts.  He pitched two complete game shutouts twice and was part of five different shutout performances on the season.  He is the first Cajuns' pitcher to win ten games since Hunter Moody did it in 2006.

LSU's Aaron Nola was also selected to the first team.  The junior right hander was the SEC Pitcher of the Year this season.  Nola goes into the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional with a 10-1 record and a sparkling 1.49 ERA.  Nola had 127 strikeouts in 109 innings pitched.
