The 2011 college football bowl season will begin on Saturday, December 17, and will conclude on Monday, January 9.

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns will play on the first day of the bowl season, as they take on the San Diego St. Aztecs, in the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.

The LSU Tigers will play on the final day of the bowl season, as they square off with the Alabama Crimson Tide, in this year's BCS National Championship Game.

There are 33 other bowl games, making 35 in all.
