When the Washington Redskins cut tight end Chris Cooley back in the preseason, many Skins fans were heart broken. Cooley had been a fan favorite in DC since his arrival in 2004.

When starting tight end Fred Davis was lost for the season with a torn ACL, Cooley's phone rang with a contract offer to rejoin the only pro team he's ever known. Cooley reminded Skins fans why they love him so much when he had a special demand in his new contract....beer.

Cooley tried his best to negotiate a case of beer into his contract. He wanted it in writing. Apparently, it wasn't enough to deter him from signing, as Washington GM Bruce Allen refused to buckle to Cooley's beer request.
