Heat guard Dwyane Wade got a clean look for a potential game-winning three point shot at the end of overtime, but the ball bounced off the iron as time expired, allowing the Celtics to procure a 93-91 win. With the victory, Boston ties the best-of-seven series at 2-2.

Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo took a shot at Miami going into halftime. When asked by ESPN’s Doris Burke how he was exploiting the Heat, he responded, “Them complaining and crying to the referees in transition.” Miami was called for 28 fouls on Sunday night. In comparison, Boston was called for 30.

Rondo’s intensity wasn’t reserved for Burke’s microphone, his assiduous game was on display for all 53 minutes of Game 4. Rajon finished with 15 points, 15 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Five other Celtics joined Rondo in the double-figures department. Paul Pierce led the way with 23 before fouling out in overtime. Kevin Garnett finished with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Ray Allen nailed four 3 pointers, scoring 16 points in all. Brandon Bass added 11, while Keyon Dooling gave them 10 off the bench.

LeBron James had some good and bad in his final stat line. He scored a game-high 29 points, but turned it over 7 times. He fouled out in overtime, marking the first time in his career he’s fouled out of a playoff game.

“We’ve got to build off our mistakes from the last two games,” said James after the loss.

Wade scored 20, but Heat fans were hoping for 23. Mario Chalmers finished with 12.

“Every team is going to come out more emotional at home,” Chalmers said.

Each team hasn’t lost on their homecourt. Game 5 shifts back to Miami on Tuesday night. Tip-off is set for 7:30.
