Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Saturday night, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad travels to Jonesboro, Arkansas to take on the Arkansas St. Red Wolves in a Sun Belt Conference match-up.

The game will be the backend of a day/night, women’s/men’s doubleheader, with the UL women taking on Arkansas St. earlier in the day.

Tipoff time for the men’s game is set for 7:05 pm.

Louisiana, who fell to Little Rock, 77-57, on Thursday night, is 5-7, overall, and 1-2 in league play, while Arkansas St., who beat ULM in overtime on Thursday night, 68-65, is currently 7-7, and 3-0, respectively.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 82.0/78.0, and outshooting them from the floor, 44%/43%, while also holding down a 43.0/36.2 rebound advantage.

Louisiana is led by senior forward Shawn Long, who is averaging 18.0 points, to go along with 12.1 rebounds-per-game, and senior guard Kasey Shepherd, who is averaging 11.3 points and 2.3 rebounds a contest.

Arkansas St. is outscoring the opposition, 77.6/73.8, and outshooting opponents from the floor, 44%/38%, while holding down a 42.5/39.2 rebounding advantage.

The Red Wolves are paced by junior forward Anthony Livingston who is scoring 15.1 points, while pulling down 8.9 rebounds-per-game.
