The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball team won 25 games a year ago, while taking the championship in the Women's Basketball Invitational for the second consecutive year.

Now, head coach Garry Brodhead will look forward to a group of veterans, but also several new faces in hopes of challenging for a Sun Belt Conference title.

The Cajuns released their 2016-17 schedule yesterday and will be going up against one of the nation's most powerful programs, as well as playing several traditional foes.

The women will play a pair of exhibitions in Blackham Coliseum, on Monday, November 7 and Saturday, November 19 against LSU-Alexandria and Dillard, respectively.

The rest of November the Cajuns are on the road, with a game at McNeese State, a neutral site game in Houston against powerful Notre Dame and an appearance in the Southern Miss Invitational, where the Cajuns will play Alcorn State and Southern Miss.

The Cajuns will play five home games in the month of December, including games against Louisiana Tech and Houston and a road game at UNO before opening conference play December 29th at Little Rock.
