The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team placed four players in double figures and rolled to a 69-44 exhibition win over LSU-Alexandria Wednesday night at the Cajundome.

The Cajuns shot nearly 46 percent from the field (27-59) as they spurted out to a 36-20 halftime lead and were never headed in the second half.

Keke Veal, who missed the second half of last season with an injury, led the Cajuns with 18 points.  Kia Wilridge added 15 on 6-10 shooting from the field.  Gaby Alexander scored 14 points, while newcomer Simone Fields (5-5 from the floor) added ten.

Ten players played double digit minutes for the Cajuns in the game.  Fields and Jasmine Mills led a balanced rebounding game with six apiece as Louisiana outrebounded LSU-A, 36-34. The Cajuns held the visitors to 28.6% shooting and forced 22 turnovers in the contest.

The Cajuns will be back in action for their second exhibition game Monday night at 7pm at the Cajundome against Spring Hill College.
