The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are back in action tonight as they travel to Metairie to take on 3rd ranked LSU in the annual Wally Pontiff Baseball Classic at Zephyr Field.

Game time is 7pm and will be heard on ESPN1420 beginning at 6:30.  The game can also be seen on Cox Sports Television (CST) with Lyn Rollins and Ronnie Rantz.

The game will feature a couple of left handed starters as Connor Toups (1-1, 1.00) will get the start for Louisiana, while LSU will counter with senior lefty Kyle Bouman (0-1, 8.31).

The Cajuns are coming off a 3-2 week last week, including a series win over Arkansas State this past weekend at M. L. "Tigue"  Moore Field.  The Tigers (23-5, 5-4 SEC) dropped two of three to Kentucky at home.

LSU features one of the top offensive teams in the country, as the Tigers hit .330 as a club, second in the nation.  Seven of the nine everyday players for the Tigers are hitting over .300.

The Cajuns (15-10, 7-4 Sun Belt) are expected to throw several pitchers in the contest.

After tonight's game the Cajuns will return home as Georgia Southern makes its first ever appearance at "The Tigue" this weekend.
