Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun football team returns to the gridiron on Saturday afternoon, when coach Mark Hudspeth’s squad travels to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, in a non-conference contest.

Pregame coverage begins at 1 pm on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, with the rest of the network, including Hot 107.9 and 1079ishot.com, joining the broadcast at 2 o’clock.

Kickoff time at Chapman Stadium is set for 3 pm.

Louisiana, who opened their 2017 regular season schedule with a 51-48 win over Southeastern Louisiana last Saturday, is 1-0 on the young season.

Offensively, the Cajuns put up averaged 51 points last week, to go along with 363 total yards, including 201 rush yards and 162 pass yards.

Defensively, Louisiana allowed 48 points last week, to go along with 514 yards of total offense, including 343 rush yards and 171 pass yards.

UL is led by quarterback Jordan Davis, who threw for 162 yards and a touchdown last week, and running back Trey Ragas, who rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown on only 4 carries.

Tulsa, who is 0-1, opened their season with a 59-24 loss to Oklahoma St. last Saturday.

Offensively, the Golden Hurricane accumulated 432 yards of total offense last week, including 244 rush yards and 188 pass yards.

Defensively, Tulsa allowed 640 total yards last week, including 332 rush yards and 302 pass yards.

The Golden Hurricane is paced by quarterback Chad President, who threw for 178 yards against Oklahoma St. last week,  and running back Corey Taylor II, who rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.

UL and Tulsa have met 9 times, with Louisiana holding a 5-4 all-time advantage.

The Golden Hurricane won the last meeting between the two schools, 27-9, back in 1992.

Louisiana holds an 3-1 lead over Tulsa at Cajun Field, while the Golden Hurricane have won three of the five meetings in Tulsa.
