The Ragin' Cajuns hit ten home runs in their series sweep of Texas State, and they capped it off with a gem in the circle by Alex Stewart.

Stewart only needed three runs to pick up her 15th win of the season, and the Cajuns provided all three of them with solo home runs. Sara Corbello hit her third home run in as many games, and Hayley Hayden and Aleah Craighton added in the extra firepower for the 3-0 win.

It's hard to believe the Cajuns did all of that damage without the nation's leader in home runs, Lexie Elkins (out 4-6 weeks, thumb injury). In her absence, the rest of the squad stepped up for another series sweep.

The three wins push Louisiana's record to 29-3 (10-1 Sun Belt), an impressive mark at this point in the season. If there's a possible silver lining to Elkins' injury, it's that it forces somebody else to step up. In the end, it creates depth. How's that for positivity?

The other seniors, especially Corbello, came through in the clutch. Corbello hit a home run in each of the three games in the series, and she was part of a five run rally in game two that helped the Cajuns come back from a 2-0 deficit in the sixth inning. The entire length of the lineup is getting more and more dangerous as the season progresses.

Analysis aside, some of the home runs over the weekend were flatout impressive. Craighton's home run in the second game of the series cleared the wall and the bleachers, and ended up about thirty feet up in the trees behind the stands. It was enough to make you forget the nation's leader in home runs was watching from the dugout.
