Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns had too many turnovers and didn't make enough shots as they fell on the road to Ole Miss Wednesday night 66-54 at Tad Smith Coliseum in Oxford, MS.

The Cajuns (5-7) held the Rebels to 2-12 shooting to start the game and held a 12-6 lead, before Ole Miss went on a 14-0 run and made nine consecutive field goals to open up a lead they would never relinquish.

The Rebels led by as many as 14 points in the first half before a 7-0 Louisiana run cut the lead to seven, 34-27 at halftime.

The Cajuns got as close at six in the second half, 38-32 after a Josh Brown three pointer, but would get no closer.  A 9-0 Ole Miss run in the second half enabled the Rebels to get the lead to as many as 19 points before the Cajuns rallied to cut the lead to the final margin.

The Cajuns were led by the 12 points from Bryant Mbamalu and Darshawn McClellan.  Josh Brown added eleven points for the Cajuns, who shot just 38 percent and turned the ball over 19 times.

Dundrecous Nelson led Ole Miss (9-1) with 21 points.  The Cajuns out-rebounded the Rebels by one in the contest.

Louisiana now heads to Pennsylvania to take on the Robert Morris Colonials Saturday night in Moon Township, PA.  The game will begin at 6pm and will be heard on 96.5 FM KPEL.
