Cajuns Face Michigan St.

Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Sunday, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad travels to East Lansing, Michigan, to take on the 15th-ranked Michigan St. Spartans in non-conference action.
Louisiana fell to New Mexico St., 79-57, on Friday night, dropping the Cajuns to 2-3 on the season, while Michigan St. defeated Oakland, 70-52, on Friday, improving the Spartans to 4-1 on the year.
The Cajuns are led by freshman center Shawn Long, who is averaging 15.0 points, and 7.6 rebounds a game, while the Spartans are paced by junior guard Keith Appling, who is averaging 16.4 points, along with 4.0 assists a contest.
The all-time series between the two schools is knotted-up at 1-1.
Tip-off time is set for 11 am (cdt).
