This past week, Louisiana baseball coach Tony Robichaux announced nine signees for the fall, 2016 class.

And, now, there are two new Cajuns joining those nine.

Robichaux announced the signings of two junior college players: outfielder Tyler Stover (Vacaville, CA) and catcher Handsome Monica (Mandeville) to national letters of intent.

Both players started their careers at four year institutions:  Stover started 23 games in 2014 while at Kansas State.  The 6-4 corner outfielder was a 40th round draft choice by Colorado out of high school.  Robichaux says Stover has "plus-plus" power.

Monica was a third team All-American out of St. Paul's High School in Covington where he was ranked as the 17th best catching prospect in the nation.  He played in nine games as a backup catcher with the Arizona Wildcats in 2014.  Robichaux calls Monica a "rock solid receiver" with good power.

Robichaux says the Cajuns now plan to wait until after the Major League Draft in June to see if any players need to be added to the recruiting class.
