Being picked to finish in seventh place in the pre-season Sun Belt Conference Women's Basketball poll might not seem like a big deal.

But, for Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns, it's a sign things are looking up.

After finishing just 3-17 in the league a year ago, the coaches in the league believe the Cajuns' fortunes are looking up.  Sophomore guard Keke Veal was also named to the preseason all-conference second team.

The Cajuns upset North Texas in the first round of the conference tournament in double overtime, before falling to Western Kentucky in a hotly contested game in the quarterfinals.

The Cajuns play their exhibition contest at Earl K. Long gym Wednesday night against Loyola.  The regular season begins November 8th against Nebraska-Omaha at the Cajundome.
