The 10th ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball team (26-0) are coming off an outstanding weekend at the Judi Garman Classic in California. In addition to going 3-0, UL earned a dominating 9-2 win over the defending World Series champion No. 5 Arizona State Sun Devils.

Cajun freshmen Jordan Wallace and Junior Nerissa Myers were awesome over the weekend, and were honored today as Sun Belt Conference players of the week.

Myers finished the week with a .500 batting average, and led Louisiana with six runs, 10 RBI, two homeruns, 14 total bases and a slugging percentage of 1.400. For her efforts, she was recognized as the Sun Belt Conference hitter of the week for the second time this season.

Wallace started 3 games last week and pitched a complete game victory in all 3. She tossed 19 innings, struck out 14, and finished with an ERA of 1.11. With those outstanding numbers, she was recognized today as the Sun Belt Conference pitcher of the week.

Four different Ragin' Cajuns have earned Sun Belt Conference player of the week accolades this year.
