Cajun Softball Team Tops UTEP & Northwestern

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team opened up the 8th Annual Mardi Gras Invitational at Lamson Park with two straight victories. First, it was a dominating 11-1 win over UTEP. Second, it was a hard fought 6-4 victory over Northwestern University.

Cajun Senior right fielder Christi Orgeron (pictured left) hit two homeruns against UTEP. The first one was a Grand Slam that blew the game open. The second was a solo shot to centerfield. She then hit a key go-ahead 3 run homer in the third inning of game 2 versus Northwestern.
