Bullpen Mixup Caused by Crowd Noise

Tony LaRussa is known for his unorthodox use of his bullpen.
So, at first glance, the curious use of the St. Louis Cardinals’ bullpen in last night’s 4-2 loss to Texas could be chalked up to “Tony being Tony.”
But come to find out, there was a miscommunication between the Cardinals’ dugout and bullpen. As a result, LaRussa didn’t have the guys he wanted ready to go at a crucial time.
The crowd noise at Rangers’ Ballpark was the cause of the confusion, according to the Cardinals.
