All summer long, we’re going to list the best players in New Orleans Saints history to wear every number, 00-99.

Yesterday, we did #24.

Today, #25:

The pick: Reggie Bush

When deciding who is the best New Orleans Saints player to ever wear #25, the choice is limited to running backs Leon McQuay, Fred McAfee, and Reggie Bush, receiver Jerry Simmons, and defensive backs Jerry moore, Wade Bosarge, Johnnie Poe, and Alex Molden.

The pick, which should come as no surprise, is Bush, a running back, who played with the Saints for 5 seasons, from 2006-2010.

After finishing his college career at USC, where he was a two-time All-American, and the 2005 Heisman Trophy winner (later take away), Bush was selected by the Saints with the second-overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.

A native of Spring Valley, California, Bush was used as a running back, receiver, and return man during his time with the Saints, rushing for 2,090 yards and 17 touchdowns, catching 466 passes for 3,489 yards and 18 touchdowns, and compiling 804 return yards, including four scores.

His career rushing yards ranks Bush 12th on the franchise's all-time rushing list, while ranking 8th in receptions.

The 6-foot, 200-pound Bush was traded by the Saints to the Miami Dolphins, for whom he played in 2011-2012, before playing the 2013-2014 seasons for the Detroit Lions.

Bush signed with the San Francisco 49ers in March of 2015.

In 9 NFL seasons, Bush has accumulated 5,465 rushing yards, 3,489 receiving yards, and 804 return yards, to go along with 57 total touchdowns.
