Bears’ Win Nets Man $57K. He Bet Five Bucks

Rex bet against Rex Monday night and as a result, Rex won...big.

A sports bettor from Arizona, identified as a man named Rex, won $57.535 by correctly predicting the winner in every NFL game this past week.  Rex collected his money from a sports book in Laughlin, Nevada.

There was a second bettor who had a chance to win the jackpot.  But that bettor chose Rex Ryan's New York Jets, who lost to the Chicago Bears 27-19.

Rex is a regular bettor at the sports book.  The winnings were off a progressive parlay where the jackpot increases if no one wins.  Bettors were not obligated to bet against the spread, simply a straight up prediction.

The jackpot for this week will be just over $13,000.
