Bears Waive Former LSU DT Ego Ferguson

If former LSU defensive tackle Ego Ferguson is going to continue his NFL career, it won't be with the team that drafted him in the second round of the 2014 draft.

Ferguson was released by the Chicago Bears today.

At 25 years old, Ferguson accumulated 36 tackles, 2 sacks and three passes defensed in 3 seasons in Chicago.

His biggest issue was health. Ferguson missed a dozen  games in 2015 with a knee injury and all of last season with a shoulder injury.

UPDATE: Ferguson has been claimed off waivers by the Bears rival, the Green Bay Packers.
