For most of us here in the good ol' USA, winter means cold, cold weather. While a lot of the time that can really stink, it can also mean the arrival of snow, and we all know that's the best part of the wintry months! Snow angels are possible, intense snowball fights happen and (probably most importantly) snowmen can be made.
One of the reasons we love the holidays so much is that there are tons of ways we can celebrate. Ugly Christmas sweater parties probably rank at the top of our favorites, just because wearing the ugliest cardigan ever in the name of holiday spirit is strangely fun. So what ranks towards the bottom of our favorites list? Office parties.
On Christmas morning, there's nothing worse than getting a bad reaction to one of your presents. This is especially prevalent among the younger crowd, particularly those under age 12. Why? Well, the kiddos don't necessarily have an understanding of faking appreciation and re-gifting later, so it just comes off as bratty behavior.
Today marks the day Poland made our list of awesome countries. Why? They openly celebrate their love of weiner dogs! No, seriously. These folks have no shame, and they showed their affection by dressing up and parading around their Dachshunds like the grumpy bundles of cuteness they are.
There's something about the holidays that puts a lot of us here at TheFW into extra crafty moods. Maybe it's all those awesome Etsy decorations we so wish we could copy or just the fact we're feeling particularly festive this time of year. Either way, trying to get all creatively crafty is just plain old fun.
If you know anything about us here at TheFW, it's that we love a good, harmless prank. Cell phone crashing and embarrassing people with talking elevators are just a couple we particularly fancy. Basically, we'd like to think of ourselves as joking experts. So when we recently came across a prank we've never before encountered, we took a humble blow to our humor egos and laughed our pants off.
Contrary to popular belief, photobombing is super hard, and it requires a lot of skill. For starters, you have to get the timing down perfectly and do it so no one posing actually notices your moves leading up to the photobomb.
The holiday season is easily the greatest time of year, mostly because good moods are abundant and we get to eat tons and tons of cookies. While we're huge fans of Christmastime, it does require a lot of prep. Between the endless cooking and gift shopping, stress can build up pretty quickly, and that brings nothing but bad moods and muddled minds.
No matter what the holiday, we always love getting extra festive. It's not like we need an excuse to wear awful Christmas sweaters or take part in a harmless snowman prank, but doing that stuff during the season makes us look a little less crazy. The season also provides the perfect excuse to go way overboard in the decorating department.
