Check out Auburn defensive back Jonathon Mincy delivering an illegal hit, above the shoulders, to receiver Dimitri Reese, during the Tigers' Orange/Blue spring game over the weekend.

Mincy fought off blockers, delivered the over the shoulders illegal hit, was penalized 15 yards, and was even ejected.

The rule states that a defensive player cannot make contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless opponent with the helmet, forearm, fist, elbow or shoulder.

Beginning this year in college football, hits above the shoulders, against a defenseless opponent, can be reviewed, to determined if a player should be ejected. Also, if a player is ejected in the second half, his ejection could carry over into the following week.
