Ashley Brignac Named Academic All-American Of The Year

Junior pitcher Ashley Brignac, of Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team, was named the Capital One Academic All-American of the Year, on Thursday, as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Ragincajuns.com has the story, below.

After another 50-win season and another NCAA Regional berth, the awards keep pouring in for the Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns softball team. 

 

On Thursday, junior Ashley Brignac was named softball's Capital One Academic All-American of the Year by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), an honor given to the top member of the Capital One Academic All-American First Team.
