Zach Mettenberger has played his last snap at LSU, as his left knee injury has been diagnosed as a torn ACL. The Senior quarterback will not be able to play in the Tigers bowl game.

Mettenberger suffered the injury in the 4th quarter of last Friday's 31-27 win over Arkansas. Razorbacks defensive tackle Bryan Jones hit Mettenberger in the backfield as he threw, causing Zach's knee to get rolled up and twist awkwardly.

Mettenberger was visibly emotional after the game, breaking down to tears as he sung the alma mater with teammates in front of the student section following the game.

Freshmen Anthony Jennings replaced Mettenberger, leading the Tigers to an exciting come from behind victory over the Razorbacks. He will start for LSU in their bowl game. The team will find out what bowl they'll participate in on Sunday.

In 3 years at LSU, Mettenberger threw for 5,783 yards and 35 touchdowns, including 22 this season.

At 6'5, 242 pounds, he is expected to be a mid-round NFL draft pick.
