Will Hellmers Commits To LSU Baseball

The LSU Tigers have received a commitment from one of the top pitchers in the state.

Will Hellmers, a right-hander from Jesuit High School in New Orleans, issued a verbal pledge to LSU on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound Hellmers reportedly throws a fastball in the upper 80's (mph), while also featuring a curveball and changeup.

Hellmers is scheduled to graudate high school in 2020, and will also be eligible for the Major League Baseball Draft next spring.
