If you're a football player and you get arrested, chances are it will make the news.

And, we read all the time about players, some of them pretty high profile, who have been in trouble with the law.

But which school has had the most football players arrested over the last five years?

Betcha a lot of you thought it was Florida State.

Negative.

They aren't even in the top five.

The "champion" may surprise you.  In fact, the name of the school probably didn't cross your mind..mainly because it almost never does, anyway.

The winner?  Look to Pullman, Washington and the Washington State Cougars.  They lead the way with a whopping 31 arrests.  Florida is second (not Florida State) and Georgia is tied for third with Texas A%M.  The SEC leads the way with eleven schools in the Top 25.

Now to be fair, most of these arrests were for misdemeanors, not unlike you would find at a college campus anywhere.  But as we said, if you're a football player, it's magnified.

So what about those Seminoles?  They are tied for 10th place with 19.  24 of the 25 schools on the list come from Power Five conferences.  The lone exception is Marshall who was tied with LSU for 15th place.

But there's a silver lining for those Washington State folks.  They have not had an arrest in the last eleven months.  Looks like the Pirate is making some players walk the plank.
